Currently in the UK the Hypnotherapy profession is unregulated.
There is unfortunately nothing stopping anyone from undertaking a weekend course in Hypnosis and believing that they
have received enough training to be therapists.
In order to create the assurance needed with the public and the Medical Profession, we began collating, in 2002, details of Hypnotherapists who have undertaken high standard training and belong to ethical organisations
that have a complaints procedure and a strict code of ethics.
Details of these organisations can be found HERE.
The Hypnotherapy Register will only promote new Hypnotherapists that have trained with schools whose qualifications
meet the National Occupational Standards.
Details of these schools can be found HERE.
Established Therapists can be listed provided that they are UKCHO registered or can prove that their training met the National Occupational Standards.
Choosing a Hypnotherapist from our register ensures that you will be in good hands.
To find a therapist in your area you can either click on your county on the map below, or navigate through our menu on the left.
Clicking THERAPISTS will take you to a list of geographical areas for you to search through.
Most Hypnotherapists on The Hypnotherapy Register have recently been given specific UKCHO registration numbers, these are not
recorded on our register, but for peace of mind they can be found or confirmed at www.ukcho.co.uk
Having UKCHO registration is concrete evidence that your Hypnotherapist has followed, and successfully completed, a high quality course in Hypnotherapy to National Occupational Standards, and is bound by a professional code of conduct, ethics and practice.
Congratulations on your decision to undergo Hypnotherapy. The Hypnotherapy Register wishes you success.
